When Roslyn Brant, flying out to North Africa to meet her fiancé Armand Gerard, lost her memory in the plane crash that killed Armand, his family took her into their home on the edge of the Sahara until she found herself again. Armand’s grandmother and his brother Tristan were kindness itself – but his cousin Duane Hunter was another matter! ‘In man respects,’ he told her, ‘the desert is like a woman.
