About This Book

Kelsey's typewritten and collaged perzine is about the years she spent attending the Portland School of Ballet and summer dance programs in Boston. She writes about physically and emotionally demanding classes, uncaring instructors, and having an unhealthy body image. The recovering dancer writes about feeling that her body, especially her feet, are "wrong" for ballet. Visual elements include photographs and clip art, most of which are ballet related and a Polaroid of the author.
