Wim Heldens' heroes

In 'Wim Heldens' Heroes', an extensive selection is shown of the work of remarkable Amsterdam artist Wim Heldens, together with descriptions of the various backgrounds from which the painter drew his inspiration. Also is added a complete overview of Heldens' work 1974 2022. In 1998 Wim Heldens won the Menena Joy Schwabe Award of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters (Mall Galleries/National Portrait Gallery) in London. In 2011, Wim Heldens won the prestigious First Prize of the BP Portrait Award of the National Portrait Gallery in London which brought his work to the attention of a much wider public.
