WIDOW OF SIGHING PINES is an historical novel about a major timber war in South Georgia during the latter part of the nineteenth century. It is also a love story involving a northern woman whose husband was slain during the timber war and a southern raftsman who is the leader of the local land owners. Though the story is fictional, the history is authentic.
