The development of education and educational institutions in medieval India has attracted considerable attention of scholars. But no substantial work done to examine the role of women as recipient of education and learning.So, this book explores the social and cultural life of royal ladies such as Gulbadan Begum, Salima Sultan Begum,Nur Jhan, Mumtaz Mahal, Jahan Ara, Zeb-un-nisa and Raushan Ara as literati and as wielders of pen. This book also includes some relevant photographs showing literary skill and interest of Mughal princesses.
