About This Book
This is my thesis, submitted for my MSc in Information and Library Studies at Loughborough University in September 1997, for which I was awarded a Distinction. My Dissertation Supervisor was Alan Poulter.
I carried out research into the information that UK Public Libraries were providing on the Web about their services, at that time. I assessed the quality of design, usability, accessibility, and content of their webpages, and made recommendations about how library staff could easily improve the user experience with comparatively simple changes.
