Dangerous Intrigue

On the death of her father, Katherine Newcombe takes up a position in the household of a very respected family - but all is not as it seems in the Devonshire village. Miles Westcott, the schoolmaster, comes under attack when he investigates some of the strange happenings and Katherine herself is not left untouched by them. As Miles and Katherine draw closer together, the son of the local squire seems determined to force them apart, drawing them all into a dangerous situation.
