Pollution and the biological resources of the oceans

This book surveys and presents in a systematic manner, experimental work on the effects of the major classes of toxicants - heavy metals, transition metals, petroleum compounds, chlorine containing organic compounds, surfactants and long-lived radionuclides - on the marine environment and on marine life in particular, emphasis is placed on the synthesis of results from ecological, toxicological and biogeochemical studies.
