Informing Young Women: Gender Equity Through Literacy Skills

Librarians and educators want to teach students how to obtain and use information intelligently. Informing Young Women will show librarians how they can help them gain the information skills they need to examine current issues - with sensitivity to gender concerns. The material is designed for helping female and male students. Tips on raising students' self-esteem and a summary of how gender may affect styles of learning supplement the classroom plans.
