The early history of Northern Illinois

Section A is a brief sketch of the history of this territory from the beginning of Time to the admission of Illinois to statehood in the year 1818. This is meant to be the panoramic background against which the more important part of this book is thrown into relief.
Section B is the more detailed and valuable part of this writing, the settling of Northern Illinois by the white men.
The focal points are: The Kellogg Trail, Crane's Grove, and Abe Lincoln.
