In this book the author has mentioned the need to record customs before the old order changes, but the interesting fact that emerges when reading this book is about that Native custom that is practised even today despite some impact from the European influence. The basic principles remain and the social sanctions ensuring moral conduct, as the African understands it, are still there and should be upheld as long as they serve a useful purpose.
