About This Book
Abstract
The prime matter of the present essay is the study of the distinct causes of anxiety. Our essay intends, at the same time, to bring to the attention of the American public the therapeutic foundations of a modern branch of psychology that joins treats of psychoanalysis with those of behaviorism. In this context, our essay intends, in line of principle, to establish a modern therapeutic concept: the importance of the patient’s acknowledgment of the “why” behind his illness, and the consequent therapeutic measures.
