Definitive work on the history of Pittsfield, Maine, from the time before town incorporation in 1820 until 1965. The book is divided into chapters based on author-defined eras. Includes some photo graphs and old maps. Much source material came from old editions of the <em>Pittsfield Advertiser</em> newspaper published from 1883-1967, as well as from previous "histories of Pittsfield" written at various times in the past. Long out of print (as of 2012).
