About This Book
From 2007 to 2016, the number of state-owned companies at national, regional, departmental and municipal levels increased by 189%, from 18 to 52. How profitable were they for the State? In the eleven companies analyzed in the study, the execution of the expense exceeded 67%, which was not always reflected in their efficiency; on the contrary, it could be understood that these enterprises were constituted as employment agencies, thus denaturing their objectives. In order to analyze each one of these companies, records were prepared that highlight factors such as: operating income, state transfers, loans, state capital contribution, operating expenses, debt amortization, investment, taxes, liquidity, indebtedness and others.
