Chronicles of World War II

No event has marked the history of mankind as dramatically as World War II. Initially developing from a European struggle, the conflict eventually raged across some sixty percent of the globe's surface. It involved the armies, navies and air forces -- and civilians -- of the majority of nations in a total war which spanned almost six years of destruction, death and suffering for countless millions of people.
