The article reproduces an address by Bowdoin to the Massachusetts General Court on June 2, 1786 that mentions Harvard and in which Bowdoin recommended the General Court "confirm to the college all the land grants that have been made to it as above mentioned; and to secure to it one share in all such townships, as may hereafter be granted."
