About This Book

This is a novel about the growth and development of an artist living in Beirut. It is an evocative tale of a young boy living in turbulent times and imbibing all around him to form the novelist who narrates the story. As the boy emerges into manhood he brings with him years of abuse and aggression to become a sensitive and self sufficient adult who begins to understand his fate. He experiences Arab politics, hypocrisy and Israeli double standards and aggression both of which contribute to his ultimate alienation.
