Control of the longitudinal dynamics of vehicle systems using fast-sampling techniques

The dynamics and control of cascades of verhicles and trains of vehicles are considered in terms of the asymptotic properties. For the vehicle cadcades this indicates the relationships between the the structure of the control strategies and the interacting nature of the responses. In the case of trains of vehicles the transmission zeros indicate the asymptotic closed-loop dynamics.
