About This Book

The author fit professional hockey players for their skates from 1972-1983 and the book is the only hockey book written from that perspective. It has become a bit of a hockey cult book. Highlights include the day Mike Bossy came to camp. This tells the story of his very first day with the Islanders. That era was a very unique time in professional hockey and it is a firsthand look though the eyes of someone in the dressing room that was not always in the dressing room. The book is very insightful and many readers connect with it.
