The first Uzbek scholarly publication devoted to the essential constitutional/legal issue of how the head of state is selected (presidential elections) throughout the world today. The work describes procedures and experiences in foreign electoral law, the common and the unique characteristics of presidential election in various countries, and it presents the constitutional basis of the presidential electoral system of Uzbekistan.
