A history of the First World War, covering all fronts. The author served in the Russian Army throughout the First World War, reaching Army Corps Commander level by the time of the ceasefire between Russia and the Central Powers (November 1917). Zaionchkiovskii continued to live in Russia after the war, and wrote a number of books concerning the military history of the First World War (mainly the Eastern European Front).
