About This Book
Ashland Artillery, also known as Ashland Light Artillery, enlisted in 1861 under the command of Captain Picheqru Woolfolk, Jr. It served in Richardson's, Lee's, Alexander's, and Huger's battalions of the Reserve Artillery.
The Bedford Light Artillery was organized in 1861 under the command of Captain Tyler Calhoun Jordan. It served in Lewis', Lee's, Alexander's, and Huger's battalions of the Reserve Artillery. In 1864, it became Captain John Donnell Smith's Company.
Taylor's Battery, also known as Eubank's Battery, enlisted in 1862 as Company C of the 12th Battalion of the Virginia Light Artillery. It was under the command of Captain John Lewis Eubank. Later in 1862, it became an independent battery and served in Lee's, Alexander's and Huger's battalions of the Reserve Artillery. In 1863 it came under the command of Captain Osmond B. Taylor.
