The name from Mars

Trinidad Carrillo received international recognition in 2008 when her book 'Naini and the Sea of Wolves' (Farewell Books) won Swedish Photo Book Prize and was also nominated for The Deutsche Börse Photography Prize. The year before, she was also selected to attend the Les Rencontres d'Arles Discovery Award. 'The Name From Mars' is her second, more comprehensive book. She visualizes eloquently the harsh existential place between the external reality and the dream. It is a series of images of a trance-like state.
