"Compiled as a contribution to the Philippine Studies program, a joint project of the University of Chicago, the Newberry Library, and the Chicago Museum of Natural History, made possible by a grant from the Carnegie Foundation.".

These documents consist of letters, journals, diaries, testimonies & due processings of governmental issues, official & unofficial reports , histories, and public records from 1558-1903.
