About This Book

An inhospitable island in the Stockholm archipelago, with mutants as the only survivors, became photographer Aron Mattsson's everyday life during three intense LARPs in the summer & autumn of 2020. When the idea emerged, to portray characters in a post-apocalyptic world, it became a natural choice for Aron Mattsson to enter a role just like the other participants. Aron became Seiko, a supporter of the Kodak cult, with the task of documenting his encounters with these multifaceted mutants. Aron has always loved analog photography. Together with the interest in odd cameras and old photo techniques, the meeting with Mutant: Year Zero - The Last Ark became very successful. The book shows beautiful portraits of characters such as Pepsa, Kola, Zingo and Elvine, mixed with fantastic environmental depictions in panoramic format and spontaneous snapshots of the life on the island. Martin Ericsson, one of the authors and game leaders of the LARP, have written the foreword to the book
