About This Book
Master carpenters' tips from hundreds of tradesmen; each one is illustrated with excellently drawn technical diagrams. Text is succinct, entirely clear, and comprehensible. An example of the wealth of knowledge about trades that has been lost in the late 20th century. I have the 1947 edition with 210 pages including an excellent index. You'll need that as the tips are in no particular order. Not a problem as you'll almost certainly want to read the entire book once you see the profundity and clarity of the information it contains.
The project was begun in 1916 and expanded in 1925, and 1934. Tips came from all across the USA and were sent in for publication by architects, contractors, building supply dealers, job superintendents, carpenters, carpentry shop foremen, interior finishers, cabinet makers, and other specialists.
I am eager to find out how we can add this book to the library. I have a copy in good condition, but the paper is getting old and should be scanned and uoploaded. I will need help doing that.
