ROMANCE. Alex Talbot clutched her ticket tightly, scanning the train terminal with interest. It was hard to believe she was really here at the Seattle Amtrak Terminal, waiting for her train to New Orleans, gripping a one-way ticket to a great new job, an exciting new life, a new city, and a new adventure. Ticket in one hand, her mother's precious shoebox tucked safely up under her other arm with a handful of New Orleans brochures balanced on top, Alex sat back, calming herself. She did not want to think on this trip taking her so far from home and the only life she could remember.
