The public lands

Volume one of this two-volume work presents an outline of the history of the public lands, meaning those lands other than the 13 original colonies. Volume two contains a selection of copies of original documents, from the National Archive in Washington, D.C, of the more significant public laws, Congressional Committee reports and papers on the public lands dating from the late 1800s to the early 1900s.
