Second Class and First Class Board of Trade Examination Drawings including Pictorial Views

A book of folded technical dimensioned drawings of components of marine steam engines, boilers and some auxilary equipment (valves, and some winch components). There is no text except for lists of the plates. These lists are printed onto cardboard dividers between sections containing sets of drawings. Each set of drawings is separately numbered. There are 4 sections. Most engine components appear to be of triple expansion engines of about 500 to 1000 IHP, although generally no engine sizes are noted. The drawings are of technical interest to curators and custodians of marine steam engines, as they are many and show full constructional detail of the internal components of such engines.
