About This Book
As I am the author, I *can* help you. Li'l Tuffy was created by me in 1972 and published in 1973 by Johnson Publishing Company, Chicago, IL. I created it to help pre-school Afro American children learn their ABCs with words and images of the 1970's popular culture to which they might relate. It is 64 pages long. Among the featured vocabulary are words like: Afro, Africa, Brother, Jazz, and Groovin'. It was the first of it's kind to ever be published. The sequel to Li'l Tuffy and His ABC's was published in 1978 and is titled Li'l Tuffy and His Friends.
