About This Book
An investigation of the views of teenagers on the meaning of God in their lives. Although the subject of the investigation were students in French schools, the conclusions are relevant to young people living anywhere in an industrialized and de-Christianized society. The student responses were summarized, in order of their recurrence, under the following three general headings: "God of Creation", "God of Man", and God of Jesus Christ". Each of these responses was then subjected to a searching psychological, sociological and pedagogical analysis by the author. It is his observation on the significance of these three categories that constitute the substance of this book, which is not merely an empirical survey, but also a descriptive diagnosis of the modern teenager's notion of God.
