About This Book

During World War II, the author served as a medic at the Eastern Front and was a Prisoner of War in the Soviet Union from 1945-1949. This is his account of what happened. Since he was not allowed to bring anything out of the Soviet Union that he had written, the Krasnogorsk diary, part 2 of the book, is a fictional political discussion based on real conversations with names being changed.
