About This Book

This issue begins with an alumnus' reminiscence of the Ontario Agricultural College. Agricultural articles focus on education such as the O. A. C. poultry extension work, agricultural education in Indiana, and animal husbandry education in New Brunswick. Other agricultural articles pertain to the various forms of stem rust in wheat, flax production in Ontario, and controlling the Cabbage Root Maggot. The farm power column provides information about electric generators. Reprinted in this issue is a column by a Toronto journalist regarding the O. A. C. rugby team. A student contributes a history of the Macdonald Consolidated School in Guelph. The serialized wartime story titled "Apres la Guerre" is continued in this issue. Campus news reports the address given by President Reynolds, the Halloween Dance, and the athletics results. The Macdonald Institute column features the new student initiation, and the reception for President Reynolds and Miss. Cruickshank. The Alumni column contains notes on the reunion for the 56th O. A. C. Battery, alumni updates, and a listing of all O. A. C. graduates who have surnames beginning with the letters "W" and "Z".
