Descriptions of 656 research facilities in Belgium, Denmark, Germany, France, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. Inclusion depended on criterion of at least 100 employees in large countries and of about 50 for smallercountries; thus, many university research facilities were excluded. Entry gives identification, organizational, and financial information, as well as descriptions of research activities and current programs. No index.
