Text is a translation of the unpublished work of the German ethnologist Robert Lehmann-Nitsche, who in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries collected countless interviews with Mapuche survivors of the occupation of Araucania and what was called the Desert Campaign with many images of the archival materials and portraits of the Mapuche Indians. Accompanied by a CD with the first recordings made by Lehmann-Nitsche of the Mapuche Indians who survived the occupation of Araucanía and adpated to life in the cities.
