Mr. Acevedo relates the history of ACINDAR from its development as a national steel company under his grandfather, to its joint ventures and eventual partnerships with Thyssen AG, Gurmendi Group, Belgo Group, and Arcelor Mittal and his growth in the company from his teenage years through adulthood. He discusses the particularities of working in Argentina due to its political and economic volatility, especially the resultant market fluctuations, and the necessity of international partnerships to ride out periods of national instability. He also details the importance of education in the workforce, and his personal definition of corporate social responsibility.
