Basílica Catedral de Santo Domingo

MAJOR work that documents the history, architecture, restoration works initiated in 2007 and the extraordinary artistic treasures guarded and protected for five centuries (1504-2011) in the monumental Basilica Cathedral of Santo Domingo. The well-documented texts are from members of the Centro de Altos Estudios Humansticos y del Idioma Español of the Patronato de la Ciudad Colonial and comprises 5 major sections featuring the most important historical events of the past and present and future of the monumental colonial 16th century building. Includes the specific components of the "Plan Catedral II" separated into 12 items that conclude with a projection into the future, correcting electrical and operative fundamental inefficienciesas; a large scale operative project entitled "Proyecto Catedral-IBEROEKA-CPA" that considers a massive intervention and cleaning of the complete structure of the interior and external architecture and foundations, and finally a tourism project BID-MITUR that will consider an important investment in a series of tourism projects that include the church and the museum.
