Different Drummers

In this true story from 1965, two fourth-graders forge an unlikely friendship: Lyle is hyperactive. David has muscular dystrophy. When wheelchair-bound David informs Lyle that God said their hospitalized teacher isn't going to make it, Lyle decides to verify God's existence by getting David to run. When Lyle begins to twist the rules, attempting to lend David some of his own excess energy, they come face to face with life's most inspiring and painful truths.
