About This Book

This study examines the trade relations of the Empire with its allies during World War I through meta monographs and establishment/company "biographies," starting from the connection between the world-scale division of labor and dependency relations and the possibility of war. While these histories show the conflicts arising between the Military, the Government and the Party for access to resources, they also provide a critical look at the capital accumulation model called "national economy." The book aims to identify the differences in the Ottoman war economy by focusing on the establishments that trade in commodities that were subject to addiction during the World War
