The book contains commentaries of the part A of the Latvian Commercial Law - General Rules of Commercial Activity. It covers legal definitions of merchant, commercial activity, as well as issues of business name, commercial registration, agency, transfer of enterprise etc. The author was the leading drafter of the Commercial Law, and also teaches Commercial Law as a member of the Faculty of Law, University of Latvia.
