"Graphic medicine" is a field where artists tell complex stories about illness, death, bodies, and treatment. In this book, six artists - Lucy Lyons, Anja Dahle Øverbye, Åshild Kanstad Johnsen, Steffen Kverneland, Øyvind Torseter and Tord Thorpe - have created visual narratives and comics based on key objects in the exhibition Life and Death at Norway's National Medical Museum. The exhibition shows parts of the museum's medical history collection from 1850 to 2021, and follows traces of the understanding and control of diseases in Norway.00Exhibition: National Medical Museum, Oslo, Norway (28.06-31.12.2021).
