Old Maria

A tale from a village in old Orthodox Russia. A pious Grandfather shares with his grandson the dark history behind the building of the majestic monastery that stands above their village. Compassionately we watch a spiritual battle unfold as the evil one uses pride and greed to bridle the gifted abbess building the monastery, and God chooses an old woman armed only with her faithful prayers to save both the monastery and the abbess.
