1848, la révolution des misérables?

After 18 years of rule, the strengthening of authoritarian measures by Louise Phillippe and his government finally tip the population in the third revolution. Paris barricades become the bloody stage of riots. The attempt of the monarchy to reconcile revolution with royalty in the person of Louis-Phillippe fails, thus inaugurating the brief experience of a Second Republic. But three months after the popular uprising only one man will reap the benefits: Louis-Napoleon Bonaparte.
