Down Lilac Lane

In 1942, Viney Lucas and her brothers were taken by their mother to live in their grandmother's cottage in Lilac Lane in Wales. A lasting friendship began when Sybil came to live with them. On her father's return from the war, Viney became tied to caring for him, whilst Sybil was free to pursue the nursing career they had both dreamed of.
