About This Book
Dr James Brown who was a junior officer in a field ambulance of the Royal Army Medical Corps and was serving with a brigade of Yeomanry in the desert/Suez of Egypt in 1916 when he was captured by the Ottoman Turks and became prisoner throughout WW1. He was a graduate of Sydney University finishing Medicine at Edinburgh. In 1940 he wrote the book "Turkish Days and Ways" which was a recollection of his experiences as a POW in Turkey.
