About This Book

The poet Tony Harrison shot his new film Black Daisies for the Bride on location in the Alzheimer's ward of High Royds Hospital, near Ilkley. The things which seem to linger longest in the impaired memories of those affected by Alzheimer's disease are banal tunes and a sense of dance and rhythm. Tony Harrison has tries to recreate something of these lost personalities by using such tunes and verbal rhythms.
