About This Book
I'm not sure why I'm writing this: any real lover of fast cars knows about the book, but only if he or she is, mmmm, on the top side of 60. When I was a teenager, from 1956 to 1962, Ken Purdy was the voice of sports cars in North America. His articles in the magazines on which we spent our meager funds were the most interesting, the best written, and if you didn't want a sports car after you'd read just one there was something wrong with you. This is THE book about the great cars up to 1952.
