About This Book
An old man tells the story of a narrator retiree who decides to invite home an elderly man, Leo, to care for him. Through their daily lives and anecdotes, the reader get to know these two endearing characters. While one is surprised to love as much the "old", the other lives more in the imagination of his aging brain. Each tries to brighten the lives of the other: Leo, by doing useful household tasks; the narrator, for example, by wearing the costumes of the characters inhabiting the head of Leo. It is with regret that the narrator will be finally forced to entrust old Leo to the care of a nursing home, his case becoming too much to bear. A very real and refreshing portrait of old age, through its beauties and its difficulties.
