This book is an extensive effort to research the Beiter, Biter, Bieter, Beuter families in the US and Europe. For example, Bernhardt Beiter was born in 1820 in Wurtemburg, Germany. He came to this country before 1845. The author interviewed Bernard R. Beiter of Hiawatha, Iowa; Leo Beuter, Solon, Iowa; Mrs. Pauline Woodrow, Newton, Iowa. He gathered his information over a ten year period and published it in 1976; all before the internet. He traveled extensively, including Germany seeking information
