La Paroisse de St. Jacques

This book was written by my father. It is a history of St. James Parish, Louisiana in words in pictures. Dad worked for over a year collecting, copying, and editing historical photos sent to him by current and former residents of St. James Parish or LA Paroisse de St. Jacques which is French for the parish name. He was a life long resident of St. James Parish and was always interested in the history of the area. Born in Lutcher, Louisiana in 1925, a love of history was instilled in him by his parents, my grandparents. I hope this sheds some light on this book, one of three, he wrote.
